Can I join even if I'm not fluent?
Yes. You don't need to be fluent. We create groups with compatible levels so everyone can have a good experience and take part comfortably.
How do you match people?
We balance every table around your target language and level, always pairing learners with native speakers. We aim for a friendly mix so each group has the right energy and everyone gets to practise.
I'm nervous about going alone or meeting new people.
We understand! We carefully nurture a respectful, open and kind culture, and do everything we can to make sure you have a great time. You might meet your next best friend, a basketball buddy, or the person you'll binge your next series with. Why not give it a try?
Can I bring a friend?
Of course. Send us an email with their name and the session you registered for, and we'll make sure you're in the same group.
What happens if there aren't enough people for my language?
If we can't form a balanced group for your language, we'll let you know in advance and offer you an alternative session or a refund. Because of demand you might not always get a seat, but you'll get priority for the next session as long as you register with the same email.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No. There are no exercises or materials to prepare. You'll find clear instructions in the app to help you find the venue and join your group.
How much does it cost?
It's €5 per session. That covers your seat and our hosting — you only pay for your own drinks & food at the café.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. Cancel up to 48h before your session and we'll move your seat to another one, or refund you. After 48h, refunds aren't possible.
What languages do you support?
Right now we support French, English and Japanese. More languages are on the way — sign up in the app and we'll match you when a table forms.
